Food Review: Pointe Tacos + How to cook them!!

8/31/26

Hey, Silverwared.com readers! Chef Shiru here and, I'm doing a special edition of the Food Review series. This time I will be reviewing my specialty dish: Pointe Tacos. I will also have the recipe for this dish in this article.

Before we even begin...

What are Pointe Tacos?

They're just tacos made at the pointe. That's where I live, don't dox me pls. I actually made Pointe Tacos on accident. Basically, I wanted to eat acorns one day so, I searched for an acorn recipe online. I bought a bunch of ingedients for these acorns that I ended up not even cooking because I was too lazy to go through the entire preparation process of making acorns non-toxic to humans. I still had a bunch of unused ingredients sitting in my room so I decided to use them for making tacos, I just needed to get tortillas and some meat. Below, I will list all of the exact ingredients that went into the tacos I made.

If you want to follow this recipe, please follow it EXACTLY or else it will taste different.

  • 1 Pack of Corn Tortillas
  • 1 Lime
  • A small handful of Cilantro
  • 1 Packet of Mild Taco Seasoning Mix from Walmart
  • Paprika
  • 5-6 Whole Brown Mushrooms
  • 3 Cans of Armour Vienna Sausages (Original)

Preparation:

  1. Remove the Vienna Sausages from the cans using a utensil and put them into a frying pan. I used a knife but you can use whatever you want as long as you're not touching the sausages directly. They're covered in like fat or lard or something and it smells pretty bad.

  2. Cut up the sausages into small pieces with a knife while they're still in the pan. There's no point in using a cutting board for these if they're just gonna be in the pan anyways.

  3. Cut up the mushrooms inside of the pan as well. You might end up touching some of the sausages during this step but it's fine, you can just wash your hands after.

  4. Next, you can either cut up the cilantro into the pan or you can forget to put the cilantro into the meat mix until it's already done cooking. Can you guess which one I did? Anyways, make you end up putting the sliced cilantro into it.

  5. Heat the pan to heat setting 7 on your stove and, add the entire mild taco seasoning packet into the pan. Also add a few sprinkles of paprika.

  6. Once you see smoke rising, cut the lime into two halves and squeeze them into the pan.

  7. Reduce the heat on the pan to 3 and let it simmer for around 2 minutes.

  8. Move the meat mix from the pan into a separate container. Save it for later.

  9. Clean the pan you just used. There is a very high chance that some gunk got stuck inside of it.

  10. Make sure that you dry the pan after you clean it. MakeDamnSure that you do if you have an electric stove.

  11. Cook the corn tortillas on the pan. If you've lived in a hispanic household before, you're probably familiar with this step. I don't know it you can eat tortillas without cooking them but I didn't want to take any chances.

  12. Take a cooked tortilla and fill it with some of the meat mix.

  13. Eat and enjoy!

I know that it might not look that good, especially if you're a human (Yes, this is human food). However, in my personal opinion, I think it's pretty good. It doesn't taste bad but, it doesn't necessarily taste that good to be honest. It has a very interesting flavour, that's the main reason I even bothered to cook this meal more than once. Also, if you cook something yourself, you're more likely to enjoy eating it a lot more. Since you're harvesting the fruits of your labor, you can appreciate those fruits a lot more. Even if those fruits look like slop that gets fed to livestock.

Last thing: I am warning anyone that seriously wants to try cooking this. I don't even know what's in Vienna Sausages but I kind of don't want to find out. If they're being sold in stores, I guess it can't be that bad. They definitely give off very haram vibes though. Anyways, if you like eat this and like your stomach starts hurting, I'm sorry. Please don't like sue me or whatever.
